The People’s Summit: The Continent and the Diaspora Unite to Advance Africa, was an event hosted in partnership with Thef City College of New York’s Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership and Interconnected Justice ahead of the US- Africa Leaders Summit taking place in Washington D.C.. This discussion aimed to offer pre-summit thought leadership around the inclusion of the Diaspora in the U.S. strategy toward Africa and address the role and key priorities of the Diaspora in building effective US-Africa partnerships.
