Alongside the 77th United Nations General Assembly, Africa CDC, Mastercard Foundation, and The Africa Center will celebrate the multiple achievements of Africa CDC and present Africa’s New Public Health Order.  This session will convene individuals hailing from Academia and the global private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, essential to advancing Public Health in Africa and beyond. Together, they will examine the important role respectful, action-oriented partnerships play in advancing Africa’s New Public Health Order.

Africa’s New Public Health Order framework is a powerful reframing of the approach to public health across Africa.  It moves away from individual donor-recipient country approaches and adopts a continent-wide systems thinking strategy about health care.  The new framework champions improvements to health infrastructures across Africa, directly connecting public health to greater economic and social outcomes and ultimately improved global health security.
