Job Opportunity at The Africa Center: Program Coordinator

The Africa Center is excited to announce an opening for a Program Coordinator.

Position Summary: The Program Coordinator provides direct on-site support for The Africa’s Center’s programs. Reporting to the Director, Programming and Strategy, the Program Coordinator is a key member of the guest engagement team as they manage, implement and are responsible for all programs occurring at The Africa Center, including: music events; literary events; film screenings; festivals; lectures; on-site exhibitions; as well as adult, youth and family programs. Coordination with multiple independent resources and different constituency groups requires a high level of organizational planning and flexibility. Independent judgment and discretion is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment is a must.
