The Africa Center is excited to announce several opportunities at our new home at 110th Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan.


Portal Curator

In collaboration with Shared_Studios, we are looking for a Portal Curator to operate our new Portal as part of the Shared_Studios global network. In this paid, part-time role, the successful candidate will engage local communities, program special events, and occasionally provide language interpretation too.



We are looking for three interns to contribute to our programming and planning during the fall season. Our Media Intern will assist with digital content initiatives; our Programming Intern will contribute to the fall programming season’s planning, initiatives and implementation; and our Strategic Plan Development Intern will get involved with market research and more. Internships are unpaid, and academic credit is available.
