Mass uprisings against police brutality and racism have ensued in different cities throughout the country. Dr. Iweala spoke of the importance of resilience, solidarity across the Diaspora, and keeping the #BlackLivesMatter movement going despite extraordinary challenges Black people and their allies face in the fight against persistent systemic oppression.
